Film studios are discovering it isn’t always profitable for their films to appear at Comic Con. Many studios are finding that the investment is not paying off at the box office. Among smaller studios, Lionsgate, which won strong results last year for “The Expendables,” will be back; and Summit Entertainment will stage a panel for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1.”
