It has been up in the air if Lionsgate would get rid of their own marketing head Tim Palen, in favor of Summit’s marketing chief Nancy Kirkpatrick now that the two studios have merged. Both have led successful (and very different) viral marketing campaigns for their latest blockbusters. It was announced today that the duo would both stay on with Lionsgate and would share responsibility of the films that Lionsgate will be producing in the coming months and years. Namely: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 and The Hunger Games. It will be interesting to see what kind of marketing we get from the pair for both of the highly anticipated sequels.
