A Special Message from Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence to Hunger Games fans

On the heels of the announcement that Francis Lawrence has been confirmed as the director for Catching Fire, we received this message from Francis to the Hunger Games fans and posted on the official Hunger Games FB page.

“Hello fellow Hunger Games fans!  I just want you all to know how unbelievably excited and honored I am to be a part of Catching Fire.  At the end of the day, all of the work that I put in to my movies is for you — the fans. Make sure to post and let me know what you’re most excited to see in this adaptation as we aim to make something truly faithful and spectacular!” – Francis Lawrence

I love that Francis Lawrence is addressing the fans, and letting us know about his excitement!

    THE BEACH SCENE! With Katniss and Peeta, they have such a cute conversation and then their kiss :’) Awww! <3

    Very excited to see what you bring to the franchise! I love your work, and I know you will portray the book as faithfully as film allows! This book has its lighter and darker time, and I hope you fully capture both ends of the spectrum. The Quarter Quell will be quite the spectacle! Wow us!

    Im sooooo EXCITED!!!!! I’m anxious to see the Distict tours and the night scenes in the train when Katniss&Peeta grow closer to each other!! I am so HAPPY I hear that Catching Fire has a director! I know you can do it Francis!! ;)

    I’m most looking forward to right when they start the tours and she jumps on top of him! So cute!!!! night scenes on the train too! And then the scene with her and Peeta on the beach.

    Iam so happy your going to be the director. I have faith that you will do a great job with the adaptation of catching fire. I ask with all my heart that show alot of teh growing together of Katniss and Peeta. Catching fire is mostly how they grow to love each other because everything they go through. Please i would love to the training between haymitch peeta and katniss before the victory tours. And please show when katniss attacks haymitch for not saving peeta. SORRY its because this is my favorite book ;)

    i would really like to see Catching Fire to be treated in a respectful way, the victory tour, the picnic Katniss and Peeta have on the roof,the beach scene where Katniss realizes that she cannot live without Peeta, Bonnie and Twill! the second chariot ride, EVERYTHING!!

    The scene where Finnick and Katniss are trapped by a sheild with jabber jays screaming voices of loved ones. The afterwards Peeta comes and comforts both of them :)

    In my opinion, Lionsgate is rushing the filming of Catching Fire. Gary Ross only wants to have enough time to make this film better than the previous one. I think the studio executives made a wrong decision!

    I think you shoud take the scene when gale gets whipped and you shoud show the blizzard. By the way i loveed the first film of the hunger games and i love the books. My biggest dream is to play in the films. I am a very good actor, and if you ever need some stars i coud do it for free.
