Even though Lionsgate’s revenues were up way high this quarter, it looks like they had enough expenses to still suffer an almost-40-million-dollar loss for the quarter ending March 31st! From THR:
Lionsgate’s global The Hunger Games blockbuster drove full-year revenue up sharply to March 31, even as the indie studio posted a loss on transaction costs and other one-time write-downs in Q4.
Vancouver-based Lionsgate reported a loss of $39.1 million, compared to a loss of $30 million in 2011
Revenue in Q4 rose sharply to $645.2 million, from a year-earlier $376.9 million.
