Jackie Emerson and Amandla Stenberg were amazing together in today’s Fiction2Film panel!! They were so fun together and clearly good friends. I gotta say I’m a fan of “Jamandla” !!  Here’s some of our photos and tweets from their panel :)

 

1.  Amandla said the most exciting scene was the Cornucopoa cause it was so epic n their 1st week together
2.  Jackie says if she was in the Hunger Games she would use Foxface’s strategy
3.  Amandla had 2 auditions for Rue. For callback she met with Gary fully dressed leaving trail of mud behind her LOL
4.  Jackie says when she met with Gary she developed her foxface back story, and saw 6 potential Thresh waiting to audition
5.  Jackie says when she got the part of fox face she screamed jumped on bed but it didn’t feel official till they announced it
6.  Amandla didn’t have to do much training as the boys, but the boys used to bench press her LOL
7.  Jackie had to do a training regimen to slim down, tone up and did a lot of parkour and free running
8.  Jackie had a stunt double in the scene where foxface n katniss collide
9.  Jackie’s fave part about playing Foxface was how much she learned, new friends she made. Everyone was so nice, open and supportive
10.  Amandla said it was so hard to lie still during Rues death cause of bugs crawling all over her
11.  Amandla’s most memorable experience on the HG set was when she just met Jennifer n they were shooting scene of sleeping in the tree and She starts sliding down and when filming the scene said she couldn’t find her “Butthole” in the tree LOL
12.  Jackie says Jennifer is so caring, gave her so much advice n really supported her and made her laugh a lot
13.  Jackie says she had a name for Foxface from the beginning which she didn’t share but says people have guessed. Hint its not Marissa
14.  Amandla says when Katniss was putting the flowers around her it was hard to keep a straight face cause Jenn was making fart jokes
15.  Jackie says when she was playing dead Jenn poked her with a stick
16.  Jackie is working on her song writing and will put videos up on youtube
17.  Amandla is heading to NYC this summer to film an Indie film
18.  Amandla read the Hunger Games 5x before she even auditioned
19.  Jackie would love to work with Meryl streep but also loves Stanley Tucci and freaked doing a scene with him. Stanley is super cool
20.  Jackie says in a real Hunger Games Amandla would win cause who could kill amandla :)
21.  Jackie and Amandla aka “Jamandla” say they never got pranked back!
22.  Jackie and Amandla say the best prank they pulled was when they took alexander and jacks clothes n hid them in microwaves fridges
23.  Amandla says when Jennifer sung to her , Jennifer would start laughing at herself
24.  Amandla says her favorite book in the trilogy was the first book because she loved the adventure and her fave part was the cave scenes
25.  Jackie says she is more outspoken n friendlier than foxface but thinks she is similar to her
26.  Amandla thinks she has a similar personality to Rue. She’s small n loves climbing trees and thinks she would befriend Katniss
27  Jackie and amandla says the arena outfits were so hot cause it was a 100 degress. Amandla liked her n Dayos chariot outfits
28.  Amandla says in the training room she was actually hanging out in the ceiling
29.  Amandla and Jackie says when 1st came to set they freaked when they first saw the training center
30.  Jackie says when first saw movie she felt like she was watching a documentary from the set
31.  Jackie and amandlas fave experience was the feeling of family. They call it Camp Hunger Games
32.  Jackie n amandla says they love Suzanne Collins. Jackie got a signed book that said “to my foxface”…awww

Dayo Okeniyi was at the Fiction2Film fan convention in Chicago where he had a fantastic panel!! Check out Dayo’s photos and a summary of our tweets from the panel.  Gotta say I LOVE the shoes Dayo!!

1.  Dayo says the funniest part was people face planting while running for the cornucopia
2. Dayo says Gary would do the count down n Jack Quaid would always take off at 2 LOL
3.  Dayo googled #HungerGames and realized how massive this story was before he auditioned
4.  Dayo says the 3 months before filming was scary thinking about meeting the actors but they were the most down to earth people
5  Dayo says Lenny told him he was a big fun of Thresh
6.  Dayo says #HungerGames completely changed his life and to know everyone he loved was going to see the movie was huge
7.  Dayo just did a 3 finger salute
8.  Dayo says for 3 months he was in the gym 3 hours a day 7 days a week and an 1 1/2 of stunt training daily
9.  Dayo says when he went back to normal diet, his first cheat meal was In and Out burgers with alexander Ludwig and Jack Quaid
10.  Dayo says his name means “our wealth has become joy”
11. Dayos fave scene from the movie was Effie “that is mahogany”
12.  Dayo says initially the script said just this time 12 for her, but later changed to for Rue
13.  Dayo says if not acting he would love to do directing, writing, anything else behind the scenes
14.  Dayo says when he read for the role it was quick. He left the room then kept getting feedback that nina jacobson n lionsgate saw his tape.
15.  Dayo says then Gary saw his tape n he was to go to Garys on friday n it was delayed till Monday which was the longest weekend of his life
16.  Dayo says at first his agent told him Gary cancelled his test cause he was cast off of his audition tape! He was “numb”
17.  Dayo then called his folks and then he started seeing news online and it starts to get real
18.  Dayo says he did directed a music video from a friend of his and used a lot of Gary’s techniques
19.  Dayo has seen the dvd extras and says we will love them
20.  Dayo   called Amandla  ”rhubarb” and said she n Jackie was major pranksters with their own signature prank!
21.  Dayo says his fave book in the trilogy is the first one cause it does a great job of pulling you into the world
22.  Dayo says all the cast were really cool. There were no divas on set everyone just really great
23.  Dayo honestly loves Thresh cause he is a complicated dude with a lot going on internally. He is a sensitive guy
24.  When the filming wrapped there was genuine tears from the cast. Feels he will never be part of anything as special as this
25.  Dayo says he doesn’t know why they get to Isabelle to play psychotic characters cause she is the sweetest person.
26.  Dayo jokes he’d smash Isabelles head on set then go out for sushi afterwards ha ha
27.  Dayo says he made up his character back story and what Thresh upbringing was like and how many times was his name in for the reaping

Willow Shields at the Creation Entertaimment Fiction2Film convention (photos & panel summary)

Willow Shields attended the Fiction2Film convention today where she did a panel answering fan questions and talking about her Hunger Games experience.  Willow was so friendly and fun!! She was a definite hit with the fans!! Check out our pictures and a summary of our tweets from Willow’s panel.

 

1.  Willow says she learned a lot from the actors involved in HG
2.  Willow says Prim is her dream role n looking forward to filming Catching Fire n Mockingjay
3.  Willow loves artist trading cards and that is her fave thing to do. She gets them n sends them back to fans
4.  Willows favorite artist is Andy Warhol!
5.  Willow has 3 dogs a blue heeler, a red heeler and an australian shepherd border collie mix and a cat!
6.  Willow says she has been auditioning more n recently on an episode of the Haunting Hour
7.  Willow was in middle of reading HG when she got the audition for Prim
8.  Willow taped her audition at home n sent by email. Then she got the call back to audition in LA with Gary Ross
9.  Willows favorite book is the Hunger Games because of the way Suzanne Collins introduced the characters
10.  Willow loves the Caesar Flickerman interviews n wishes she got the chance to meet Stanley Tucci
11.  Willow says Jennifer is one of the most amazing people she has ever met
12.  Willows fave actress is Emma Watson
13.  Willow loves music. Her fave artist is Taylor Swift. Looks up to her
14.  Willow doesn’t know how she did the reaping scene but she managed to pull it off :)
15.  Willow says Josh is a very Humble n nice person
16.  Willow is Team Katniss
17.  Willow is looking forward to Prim getting more tough
18.  Willow admits she cried at the end of Mockingjay and for the character of Prim
19.  Willow says its weird being recognized LOL
20. Willow says the reaping was not the most fun to Prim cause she knew it was impt and she was nervous
21.  Willow was at Gary Ross house when she found out she got the role of Prim, and when she left she was jumping up and down
22.  Willows closest friends on set was Jennifer, Amandla and Jackie
23.  Willow says there was nothing bad about filming the movie
24.  Willow says her fave part about the HG experience is mtg the fans, mtg friends like jennifer and amandla and being part of the franchise
25.  Willow says she actually used to have a goat
26.  Willow still keeps in touch with Jennifer, Josh,Liam,Amandla n Dayo
27.  Amandla n Jackie prank called Alexander Ludwig pretending to be crazed fans LOL
28.  Willow doesn’t know who she wants to play Finnick.
29.  Willow says saddest death from all 3 books is Rues death
30.  Willow sadly never met Lenny Kravitz
