Here’s the trailer for the Starving Games, a spoof movie created by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, who also wrote and directed Vampires Suckand Meet the Spartans. Looks to be a spoof that involves not just the Hunger Games, but the Avatars, the Avengers, the Expendables and more.  Watch and tell us what you think in the comments.

A few months ago, we learned that NBC’s Community will be airing a Hunger Games inspired episode in their season opener.  With their season premiere coming up, we have this great sneak peek of what we can expect.  

Community will premiere on February 7th at 8:00 PM on NBC.

Looks like the  Hunger Games parody film called  the Starving Games has found their version of Katniss  Everdeen in  actress Maiara Walsh.

According to the Hollywood Reporter :

Maiara Walsh has nabbed the female lead as the spoof version of Jennifer Lawrence‘s Katniss Everdeen in The Starving Games, a comedic take on The Hunger Games.

Spoofmeisters Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the duo behind Date Movie, Meet the Spartans and Vampires Suck, wrote the script and are directing the parody. The script pokes fun of not just the Suzanne Collins book series but also The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes and the finale of theHarry Potter franchise.

Walsh will play the lead, a character named Kantmiss Evershot.

Pretty Little Liars actor Brant Daugherty has already been cast as the parody version of Gale, played in the films by Liam Hemsworth.

The Starving Games is produced and fully financed by The Safran Co.’s Peter Safran, whose credits includeScary Movie, Vampires Suck and Buried.
