Yahoo! has released some statistics from the last year that compare searches for Hunger Games, Twilight, and Harry Potter on their search engine site. Based on their information, Hunger Games is gaining momentum online with the upcoming release of the film in theaters.

When comparing the three book-to-film franchises over the last year, 42% of searches were for The Hunger Games.  In addition, as the film approaches, interest has spiked in the books, and the searches for The Hunger Games books by Suzanne Collins have increased 5 times over the last month!

Elizabeth Banks was the most searched-for HG actor in the last month, followed by Jennifer Lawrence. Fans have been on the hunt for Hunger Games beauty and style tips, searching for the nail polish, Mockingjay pins, and apparel.

So happy to see that fans are as interested in the film and books as we are. We have the feeling that numbers will jump even higher for the films, books, and actors, once the film hits theaters on March 23!
